The history of The Local Hotels Grozny began in April 2014, when, at the initiative of investors from Abu Dhabi (UAE), a capsule was laid in a solemn ceremony for the construction of a new hotel complex in Grozny. The ceremony was attended by the Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov, CEO of Trojan Holding Hamad Salem Al Ameri and other high-ranking officials.
Already in May 2018, a new five-star hotel opened its doors. The first guests of The Local Hotels Grozny were the Egyptian national football team led by Mohamed Salah, who chose the hotel as their base during the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
